Dr. Jim McConnell is a senior professor at the University of Texas at Dallas in the Science and Mathematics Dept.  He is a Master Teacher with Teaching Certifications in Secondary Physics, Secondary Math, and Psychology. He has earned an Ed.D in Supervision, Curriculum and Instruction from TAMU Commerce, MS in Psychology/ Physics, TAMU Commerce, and a
BS in Mathematics/ Physics, UT Arlington.  He will be speaking on the habits of mind needed in good scientists and mathematicians as well as do some myth busting regarding how young students should make career and life decisions.
